    What the hell just happened!!!!

I just got my engine put back together, after putting a new timing chain. I cranked it up, I noticed the pull start was a little tighter than usual, but no big difference. It started up on the first pull, was beggining to idle, then I heard a squeak like when you tighten a screw as much as you can and the engine just shut off. Now I can't even pull on the pull start because it is so tight. what could it be? please help. (I have a 200s engine by the way) Thanks

    seizure

didn't leave the cam chain all the way loosened out before firin it up did ya? might of jumped off and bound up at the crank.
did ya take the piston off while you were in there? didn't put it back on backwards did ya?
sounds bad dude, wish ya luck!!!
start with the simplest thing first and make sure the pull start just isn't locked up, yank it off and roll the engine over by hand (if ya can)
    good luck,
    steve

Sounds more like the oil passage was plugged up and it fried the cam to the bearing. They make bad squeal when the do that.

I did take out the pull start and try to turn the engine manually and it wouldnt turn. The guy that put the chain on for me, said that my cam looked like it was stuck, but when he put the chain on, the engine had good compression, and worked fine. If that was the case could I have messed up any other part, what should I check for? Thanks for the help

If the motor was run with out oil getting to the top end there is a good chance the head, cam, rockers, and cap are all going to need replaced.

How ever you can't be sure until you take it apart.

I agree silican is bad for top ends. Use Hi Tack and just coat what you need. That is the only thing I use on top ends. I don't use silicon unless it is for repairing cracked side cases ( I bought the last tube 5 years ago ). 99% of the time I weld and re-machine cracked cases and use Hi Tack.

    Eek!!

Use Hi Tack and just coat what you need. That is the only thing I use on top ends.
I use a product called "Yamabond" on my top end jobs;I am not sure if Honda has anything like that. Ever heard of a product called "Indian Head" gasket shelack??
