if there is a spark, there is fire.

were you saying there is spark but the engine is not catching at all?

does it have fresh gas ? put some gas down the head and try to fire it like that. if it fires it is more than likely carb issues. is the spark blue ? as said before you may need to adjust the valves too. if you need specs let me know. ill get them for ya.

ive cleaned the carb already and the spark is blue but it is very small so i need to get a new plug anyway. by putting fresh gas down the head do you mean directly where the spark plug comes out? and how do i adjust the valves? if you dont mind those specs would be great thanks

are you sure you are getting fuel? loosen the drain screw in the float bowl, if not, and see if fuel comes out.

yes put the gas where the spark plug goes. not allot only about 2 table spoons or so. ok the adjustments are intake: 0.002-0.004 and the exhaust: 0.0043-0.006

as for adjusting them im not a huge help. but if they are like honda you need to take off the valve covers. make sure the engine is tdc (top dead center) and use feeler gages to check the gap. if they need adjusting you need to losen a little nut on the rocker and adjust as needed. but thats how my honda gets adjusted and yammie may be a little diff.

well it didnt work with the fuel in the head. but i tried it with liquid fire on the spark plug and it started for a second and then shut off. i dont think its getting any fuel and the carburater leaks at the bottom and i cant tighten the screw anymore thats there

take the carb apart and clean it real good. get a pin and poke it threw all the tiny holes in the jets.

as for it not firing on the fuel in the head. sounds like a weak spark. make sure your grounds are good and put a new plug in it. you should have a solid sharp blue spark. if it helps any i use split fire plugs.

what is liquid fire? is it some form of flammable chemical that you are putting on the plug? i have never heard of it.

if your carb is leaking you don't want to get it running anyways. trust me- I burnt a fresh build to the ground one day

the carb leaks at the bottom? be specific. float bowl? if the threads are stripped you may be able to run a small bolt with a nut on the back side to tighten it up
