Need 200x skid plate measurement.

Well, the skid plate mounts on my '84 200x are ripped off. Like it's hard to do with that poor design. Could someone please tell how far the mounting straps hang down from the swing arm. I guess I would lay a straight edge on top of the mounting strap and measure out how far it is away from the swing arm.

I found a guy who does ornamental iron work who will help me whip up something for this. I think we're going to replicate the stock design, but only with 1/8" iron strips this time! I'm also thinking it would be wiser to have the straps be a little longer and weld to the side of the swinger, instead of just on the corners.

I figure this is win-win over buying another swing arm as the cost would be close. I get to keep my original swing arm AND have a much tougher design than stock. I'll put up pics when it's done.
