quick mud tire question

hey, what tire do you think will be better in deep mud and river beds, the one i have pictured or wooly booger copies? They will be for my 200s and i want the best bang for the buck, i can get the ones pictured locally for 46$ ea. tax free or get the wooly copies for a little more. anything bad about the tire pictured? it looks like it will clear itself out better than woolys.

I think that they might be pretty similar. The "Super Lug" ones might be better in the real deep peanut butter mud. They look a little like Outlaws/tractor tires LOL.

I looked at a bike with those super lug tires on it and the guy said they sucked. They were hard as a rock and barely had any air in them.I think you would feel every pebble on the trail with them on a hardtail bike.

Yup. They are stiff and would not provide much cushion on a non suspended trike. I believe they're called rawhides (or at least used to be)

You'd be much better off with wooley boggers or a nice set of mudlites. Two great tires for the terrian you plan to ride.

Super lugs work great in the mud. Brapp made it through the poker run at TF with those 18" tractor tires on his 350x. Wolley boggers are good tires as long as you can clean ou the tread in the mud

I forgot to mention that i'll be keeping a set of turf tamers around on rims and ready to go for the trail. i just want these for when i plan to do some serious mudding and river riding. It kinda sounds like the woolys might plug up a little in the deep super thick peanut butter mud, so right now im leaning towards the super lugs, but keeping the set of turf tamers close by for any trail riding.

lol... I like that pic, those are kinda for garden tractors. They do make ag type tires if you relly want to go through deep s***, just as long as the bottom is solid. What im talking about are 6.00-12, 4" wide about 1 1/2" tall lugs. people keep calling them stupid, and I keep wooping thier butts in the mud run.

Yeah but those tires only matter if you've got a bottom to your swamp. If you ride bottomless pits you need nice wide tires to float...

I have a set of mudlites on my 200s and they are awsome, light weight, soft ride and long lasting also bite hard in all types of terrain. I had a set of chevrons which is a wooly copy great all around tire but not for serious mud!
