    ATC 70 Help

Hey all just joined these forums, I have an 85 350X I've owned for about 7 years and I love it!

I just bought an ATC 70 to add to my collection for my kid who's due to be born anyday now. (talk about being prepared)

I'm not sure what year it is as the sticker is gone and the owner didnt know. It's a four speed all shift down so I know its a 82/83/84. I checked the specs page on this site and cross referenced some frame numbers. The 83 comes closest to matching mine but there is a D instead of a C in one place. Also I found motor numbers and mine matches up to an 83. So I've decided its likely an 83 but was not sure if there were any other distinguishing features I can look for to confirm it.

Also it does not hold an idle, is there an idle screw on the carb for these or do I need to mess with the fuel screw??

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks and AWESOME site!!

    atc 70..

mine is an 84, but only 3 speed. It has an idle set screw. Don't forget to add some stabil to the gas, since it appears that the rider won't be potty trained for awhile yet, let alone s wheelin. Oh yeah, if there is any wear on the pull rope change it before it breaks......believe me, it's alot easier and you don't want the youngster learnin the words required to make the recoil go back together !
