    what to do to make my 350 faster?

    what can i do to make my 350 faster without opening up the engine? rite now i have a crappy sounding dg pipe,no air lid kANDn filter,filterware and run good gas has a new plug and a clean carb. bye the looks of the plug it's running perfect. i was racing around the pit this weekend and lost 2 my old black 400ex twice bye less than a trike, i just want to beat my friend on the 4 poke. what should i do? 400ex carb or gearing change? don't want to put alot of money into it just want to beat him on my slowest trike!

    Try the 400EX carb and a 450R muffler. I saw a couple trikes at TF and they were pretty good.Get a good headpipe if there isnt one already on it. What octane gas do you run through it? I run 93 in mine and it does make a difference. You could play with the gearing a bit too. Stock is 13-39.

    it's kool that the 450 exaust fit's but kinda big for my style(actually have a 450 muff) i run 93 thinking about a 12 tooth front maby

    Better exhaust. Better carb.

    I have a supertrapp exhaust and the 400ex carb on my X. It runs real strong, but it has alot of internal mods done to it.

    If you do a search I'm sure you'll find what year carb to get. I cant remember off hand, but I was thinking they were all the same. It takes a little effort to dial it in, but IMO it is well worth it.

    Easiest gain

    STEP 1: pull off gas cap

    STEP 2: put a TRI-Z under it

    STEP 3: put gas cap on

    STEP 4: GIVER HELL !!!

    i have 3 other trike's that will smoke him but i have been riding the 350x alot lately because it needs absolutly nothing and is in perfect running order, brakes , clutch engine and my other buddy has a 3 50x so it's fun to ride the same machines togeather!
