Whoa every mustang in this thread so far has Saleen wheels. W00t.
Just get a ford racing E303 cam, and some GT40P heads. Firstly I would swap the tranny out for a T-5. Very cheap to do, and it's cheaper in the long run. Pay the money to get the AODE fixed now and then when you start modding your car it will be slow as bawls unless you have a shift kit and stall converter. Just get a used T-5 they are a dime a dozen.

mike, don't steer this boy wrong.forget the ford racing cam-junk,forget the iron heads-junk,there is a very simple equation if you want a 12 sec. car.
trick flow stage 2 cam,twisted wedge heads,or afr 185's,a victor jr.,or performer intake,some 1.7 rocker arms,nice exhaust,and a holley 750 double pumper.
you can have a fast auotmatic car as well.think about this, once you past a certain e.t.,the 5 speed hurts ya.it take the average person 3/4 of a sec. to shift.thats 3/4 of a sec the car is not pulling down the track.a auto tranny shifts in about 1/4 of a sec,you actually lost time with a five speed.they are more fun to drive, and for the average car guy,a better option then building a nice aod.but they are not always faster.
heres my turd

Does have a point, once you reach a certain HP mark and speed the stick shift can't beat an auto because of human error or reaction time.. My dad just put a muncie 4 speed in his olds and with the motor it just doesn't give him the same powerful pull because the time interval to change gears is not as consistent as his old auto.. and we are talking a 9 second car here too
wow nice stang i love it, of i was also looking at shorty headers i wanna ad on my list from wat i heard they are very good, wats *Edited**Edited* guys opinion on them

Shorties are a good place to start, long tunes are better but that goes with supporting mids like head work, a nice big cam, etc
depends,i have ran both, the shorty headers are a nicer fit,and seal up better.the long tubes netted no performance gain for me,and they leak were the pipes come together before the collector.shorty headers are a good choice, that and a nice x pipe, some flow masters and you got a nice sounding ride
