Carb Question for 85 200x

Im looking at a new carb for my 200x i was looking at the xr 200 carb and there is one with an accelerator pump and one with out which one is better and what does the accelerator pump do

An accelerator pump is another passage way for fuel into the venturi and acts like a second main jet. It is triggered when the throttle position is opened more then 1/2 way. If the carb is off a bigger engine, it might give you too much fuel and not jet right giving a rich condition that is almost impossible to lean out, unless a custom needle is made.
