How to make my 250r faster????

Hey guys and girls. I have an 85 250r that I just bought a month ago. As like most of you here, I'm addicted to speed. So help me out, and let a 3 wheeled beginner know how to make his bike faster. I've already got an aftermarket exhaust. But what else can I do???? Help a fellow three wheeler out!!!!!!!

My bike almost looks identical to your picture. I'm not sure what brand my exhaust is, it was on there when I bought it. All i know is that the whole exhaust system is chrome. Not sure what brand it is. Could be a no name crappy system for all I know. How much would it cost to do these mods?

Should have markings on pipe somewhere, look on fat part of pipe. Radvalve W/reeds $119.00 Dial-A-Jet $69.95 both worth every penny. www.rockymountainatv.com look them up and give them a call they normaly have the best prices. Only other thing you could do for major power would be a port and polish job, depending on who you call and what type of port job, you will be looking at $300.00 to $500.00 but well worth it.

Almost forgot buy you a K&N filter also $35.00 not a big diff. by itself but a must if you plan on adding a few mods to trike.
send pic of carb if you can if you have stock 85 carb chunk it in the trash and upgrade to 86 carb you will be glad you did. Hope some of this helps.

cool man, thanx for the info. I checked out the website and found those parts that you suggested. Are they pretty easy to install? Also, don't really understand what they do. I know they increase power but how? Oh yeah, the guy I bought my bike from said they engine was just rebuilt and that it was ported.

Dial-A-Jet & Radvave give you a crisper throttle response, that helps on low end and adds just alittle on top. The Dial-A-Jet is like a simulated fuel injection system you gain power thru out by it shooting emulsified fuel right behined the carbs slide, the fuel is lighter in this state so it does a better job of filling in the lean spots in power curve. I think both mods are very easy to install.

    Nice R jamesca...

Definately get a UNI or K&N air-filter...But if you get the K&N, Get the Outerwears cover for it too. If you want more power, try a 310 kit.
[20:55] <waterpumper> putting a racing pipe on a Foreman is like putting a high dollar bikini on a 400 pound chick...just because it fits doesn't mean it looks cool

    my suggestion..

Leave it alone. Once you start modding it, you will have as much wrench time as ride time. Just my 2 cents. The more mods, the longer down times and bigger paychecks it takes.
