    Smaller rear tires on 250sx

Anybody ever done this, to give it a more 200x ish look? Tried to search for some pics but didn't find any. If so, what size did you go with?

Bought an sx from a friend for 500. Very clean machine, runs like a top. I know, I should post some pics...will do.

I put some smaller tyres on our SX when I was bored, didn't leave them on for long lol
I find the gearing on SX's low anyway, and the smaller tyres make this worse.
It improved the handling a bit, but not really worth it. I would stick with 22" tyres
I think the rims are 9" douglas blue labels, or something like that. The Tyres are the Ohtsu flattrack tyres, not 100% sure of the size. I would guess they are 20" tall.

it all depends on what kind of riding, here is longbedgts+ 250sx before he sold it, it was a blast with smaller tires, the first ones are 8x8 gbc with carlisle turf tires on it the second are 10x10 itp's with 18x11x10 fast trackers on it, it ripped with those tires on it!

I like a 200X front end on an SX and a set of 20" Bandits on the rear. Handles much better and stops better. Yes you lose a bit of top speed and a bit of ground clearance. It is an SX so nobody plans on winning any races anyhow....

With 18" the SX will slide sideways in 5th gear easier, but your also doing 35mph tapped out
