An 86 200x is a lot harder to find stock parts for, And even harder finding performance parts for. The only parts I have really seen for the 86s were high compression pistons, a different cam and a few exhaust pipes. The 85s are a lot easier to find parts for. I have seen everything I just stated and big bore kits, etc. Im not sure what it would take to beat a 350x. Probably a motorswap like said above.

Hate......... to burst your bubble guys but the 200X just does not have a chance.
Go ahead and buy the 350X that you have always wanted.
The 350X is just too freakin awsome. You 200xers need to get some no-doz and wake up!
Until then I'm smokin little 4 bangers !!!!

    Re:

With taller tires and changing the gearing I think a 200x could top out faster than a stock 350x. It would have to be an 86 or 87 though. It wouldn't have enough power to get up to speed though and its damn hard on the clutch. I put 25 inch rears on my 200x, I went through a pile more mud but the engine labored to much so I took em off.

Not Possible. Even with the far superior 86/87 models, there would be no clear winner in a drag.
