Yup, the YT125 is the Tri-moto. Holic is pretty much the resident Tri-moto Guru, He's got both the 125 and 175, although I know he prefers the 175.

Yes, all the yamaha 2-stroke 125cc's are Tri-Moto's. $300 US is a good deal if it is in really good shape. I picked up my 83 YT175 for $400, and it is in excellent shape, only problem was tires, and a crack in the seat.
