Jeez. I rode a YZ85 a little while ago, it had a lot more pep than I thought it would (lifted the front tire under WOT in the first 4 gears or so). I can only imagine how much this thing must roost...

In a suspension frame to make the best of it. Bet that little thing beats up on a lot of bigger quads.

Always liked the idea of the CR in a 70. Lighter then the fourstrokes and that two stroke hit that makes riding them fun.

How much HP does a stock CR80 make? 12 at the wheels?

I was told it didn't do as well in the sand as you think. Not enough torque. But this is only what i have been told...from a reliable source. Cool trike never-the-less! That would be one trike that I would truly enjoy riding.

I'd imagine its geared up awfuly high for the motor. In powerband it should be pretty unstoppable. I know on my CR80R bike tis pretty nutless below a couple thousand rpm. Kinda the CLutch halfway, rev up to abotu 3/4 throttle, it starts moving, let out clutch and got to WOT, Build up a little rpm cut back on throttle and then tis half throttle riding from there on out as long as you remeber when to shift.

CRazy little machine. A flywheel weight would really help in the sand and for large riders.

I bet it was difficult trying to launch high rpm starts with the short wheelbase.
