Well this is my 84 yz250 that doesn't see to much use these days. Unfortunately i don't have as much time as i'd like, and riding areas around my place are nearly gone. I do occasionally ride a local track with it but thats about it. I have always liked the yellow yz's,since i grew up on them, or seeing them. Plus they were affordable when i was getting into it, around 86-87. Well like most things in life hobbies and interests change and things are sold off for newer bikes or just different stuff. Bikes were always my first passion and in 2001 the owner of my local yamaha shop said he had something i might be interested in. Well turns out its my favorite year, and last of the yellow 84 yz250. His friend bought it new in 84 and had it till he O/D to death in 2000. This guy owned the shop owner some money so the family gave it to the shop after his death. I was more than happy to buy it and get it back into shape. I went through the whole chassis, and suspension, finding some missing and broken plastics, and just a general top to bottom runn through. Fresh bore and piston with a full exhaust. Well, i was very happy with this bike and still am. I't makes amazing power and has been 100% reliable in the time iv'e owned it. It still rips around the tracks with authority.

Hell I'd love to have the 84 YZ80 too. I've also dreamed of converting an 84 YZ80 into a Tri-Z 80. I had an 86 YZ125 back in the day and always wished it was yellow and black! And the Suzuki yellow just never quite did it for me!
