    84 part challange

Ater calling to make sure they had the parts needed, I spent almost a whole day driving to a Honda dealership on Friday in order to buy used parts for my 3 wheeler. After changing a flat tire en route, I was told by the parts department that they don't carry used parts! So I wasted a half tank of gas (on a suburban) and the better part of a day that I didn't have.

So, I am still looking for some used parts for my 250r. The rear fenders, headlight complete with mount. I found the headlight on ebay but when I went back to buy it, it was gone. It still had at least a day left on auction.

Has anyone else seen these parts, or have any better ideas?

    Thanks!

    ebay

I hope that this is the right forum for this thread.
I was considering buying from ebay, but I have never done this before. On top of this I have heard from other ebay users NOT to use Paypal.
What's the deal with ebay? How do you protect yourself?

    Thanks!

If you are not looking for OEM stuff - Maier makes aftermarket plastic for them. The best priced place to buy them is bdawgs plastics. Google them to get their site. If you are looking for OEM fenders and the like - I offer you good luck my friend - they are few and far between and they are worth their weight in gold.

You can run just about any headlight on there. Lots of models had a great looking headlight 85 250R, 86 250R, 86 200X, 85/86 350X. Unless your trying to keep the stock look??

I'll 2nd the vote on BDAWGS plastic....

Looks like I found the fender. Now looking for headlight. No I'm not looking for stock.

Does there have to be a battery somewhere or does the headlight just run straight off of the alternator?

    Thanks!

Thanks to all. I think I found a good deal here I just don't know for sure if a 85 fender would fit my 84.
