What would be a good bike for me? i need lots of speed and power because i like speed and power plus i am 6' 1" and weight #300. What would fit me well and not break the bank? ohh and I'm planing on getting one in the spring and most likely used.

cbr929rr is a nice bike. But if you want something scarry fast get a used suzuki hayabusa! Theres so many bikes out there its hard to choose from. But if you never rode a street bike before hayabusas are a handful to deal with! I know from experience![]()

I have a f4i 03 and that lil 600 will almost beat my 96 zx9, plus the handling is 10 times better, I see no reason anymore to go with a 9er. 600 goes way faster than anything else you will ever ride for the money. I have ridden my cousins zx14 and I did not like it
30 trikes of all shapes and sizes, Kawasakis, Yamahas, Hondas and a bunch of parts bikes
.................................................. .......................................
I am leaning towards an Kawasaki Ninja 650R. Any comments or pluses or problems about or with them? I like the styling and price, but will get a used one so the break in period is not a worry.

being as big as you are, anything under the 750 will feal cramped, Im a big guy to, and my bikes were always 900's and above, even now some bikes like the R1 are to small for me. On a street bike it is VERY important that you are as comfortable as possible, becouse if you are not you will not be able to concentrate they way you should, and conseqently a accident could happen. Ive had about 5 differnt sports bikes and the one I loved the most was the older kawi 900 ninja, a CBR RC51 is a nice big bike yami FZR750 Truimph speed tripple (that will be my next and hopefully last bike, such a sexy machine) jsut be very carefull on what you pick. In all honesty the Hybusa is a good bike, it is a Large sport tourer, you dont have to drag it out and make it leathal fast, they fit larger guys quite well, and used ones can be picked up realtivly cheap
well I will be financing it which will play a major role towards what I can get. Unless I could find a CHEAP bike on craigslist.

i have a old fzr600, you'd be cramped on it, but not on a YZF600...its almost the same motor just newer style. you can pick somthing up 3-5 years old for like 3500-5000. i would stay away from the ninja650R. it will have cheap insurance though. 650R is new yet...and way fugly. if you want somthing that wont brake the bank but nothing not as fast as a new 600, get the zzr600. its a copy of the 2000-2002 ZX6R.
buying used sportbikes can be a bad idea though, make sure ya get somthing clean, custom painted jobs always mean they were laied over by kids most time.
you'd be supirsed what 100hp can do under your *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited*. be smart and take the free MSF rider corse provided by the state (you get a brake in insurance)
oh and if you want a older bike (because you will lay it over) insurance can be super cheap $108 i pay a year on my old fizzer, and 60miles per gallon aint bad either unlike some of them new liter bikes.
I have a 02 zx9r.I bought it new in 04 as a leftover.this is the best street bike I have ever owned.very fast and comfortable.36,000 miles and all I have replaced is the tires. It will light up ANY 600 bike and is faster than a busa to about 100 or so.I also had a fzr 600.that was a great bike also.a little small, but it had almost 70,000 miles on it when I sold it.I am a honda guy mostly but am sold on kawasaki street bikes.good luck with your choice.
A good bang-for-the-buck that is big enough, I would look into the Suzuki GSX750R. Any sportbike will have enough power to have fun when you are just learning how to ride the problem with the 600 class is the size. As said before, be carfull with used sport bikes, alot can be hidden under repaired bodywork. And if this is a first bike I would look at getting something on the cheaper side to ride for the first year then get something nicer once you are a better rider and know what you want and don't want.

thats because the busa is set up more for top end and does it well. i work with this guy that traded in his custom ninja 900 and 5 grand or so for a busa 1200. he says that thing rips and handles faster/better than his 900 did. but then again it comes down to what the rider likes.
icp: that 650 looks like a nice bike. not too big yet not too small. i like it. but i dont know a ton about the street bikes.
down to parts because i no longer have a place to ride trikes.![]()
GIT IT RAAAGGGGG !!!!
Look for a nice used Suzuki TL1000R. Vtwin superbike. Plenty of get up and go and a lot more torque than any inline 4. It was basically meant for big guys like us. im about 5'11 220lbs. Im working 40 hours a week now and am saving up to buy a nice one. Check out tlplanet.com. Good website for the bikes.
