-1 swinger with esr 310 kit

i have a -1 swinger ready to install and looking to rebuild the motor at the same time. will a 310 kit be too much for the shorter swingarm or would i be better off staying with the stock cylinder?

It'll be fine. It will be a great wheelie machine but will definately hamper your ability to get a good holeshot.

    Have fun!

Oh that'll be interesting, better have a helmet!

Question, why would you want a -1? you go flat tracking?

Haha. A -1 swinger and a 310 kit sounds like a good way to keep your expensive front tire from wearing out!

With that setup, youll have a hard time keeping that front end down even in neutral!!

But if you do go with it, be real careful, thatll put you on your @ss faster then you think.

For dunes with that power you'll want an extended swinger like +4 or longer

Well if you not racing then a +4 wouldn't be necessary, but for safety and ease of riding in the dunes, especially with paddles a +2 is the basis for these bikes.. With that 310 your going to be making some serious power and more likely going to flip over when you crank on that throttle. Plenty of guys on here who don't race have a +2 and they say great things about it. You can still jump, lift wheelies and still have a safe and stable bike.. Now for guys like me on here with +12's we are a whole other ball game

Ask Aussieduner, he has a -1 swingarm on his white 250R and does a lot of duning. Not sure how built his motor is compared to a 310.

I still say you will be fine.

Aussie was the first person i asked, he loves his but im not sure how built his motor is. The deal is done now anyway and the 310 wheelie machine should be up and ready in two weeks. it has ESR 9 porting and will be running 38mm a/s, k&n without airbox, vforce 3 reeds and DG pipe. cant wait..

you'll be fine, it's all about gearing man

I have a 310kit with all the mods listed below, and a stock swinger. Someday i'd like to get a -1in swinger though.........

I run an ESR 330 and a -1. I flat track the bike. It works well and is OK in the tight stuff, but as everyone says....don't wast your time drag racing with it.
