    replacement shocks

ok guys finally able to talk with everyone that ridiculous approval process takes to long... Anyway i have a few questions to start with I have an 84 ATC200es big red and does anyone know where i can get the front fork dampeners at? the only ones i can find are the spring replacements on ebay but not the whole dampener?? next question is with the tires..i want the front tire to be a little smaller the factory tire is just too dang big for turning in my opinion but how small can i go without it looking silly on the stock rim? Thanks and i will have many more questions in the future on this bike first trike to restore

    welcome to 3ww!!

call dennis kirk or rocky mountain ATV and ask them what tires they have for your machine and what sizes. if stock is 25" I would not drop past a 22 - but thats just me.

you should be able to find the whole front end on ebay - or post a wanted ad in the classifieds.

you say "dampener" are you talking about the chromoly fork tube?

if you can give me the dimensions and details i might have what you are looking for. I have some extra forks laying around. Did you bend both of them?

no not the forks themselves i do believe that they are fine but what goes in side the forks the long spring, the dampener "which is just another term for shock i guess" and the rubber stopper in the bottom which i think that just keeps from making a clunking noise when you hit something hard. do you want me to take pics of it?

Maybe your seals just need replaced? My 200x sounded like what your describing. kind of a metal-metal popping noise... replaced the seals for ~35 bucks and they are perfect.
