Leave it for now. once you get use to it then look into other mods. Never jump and start modding a new machine. You could wast money and accomplish nothing.

I have not noticed any difference at all on trails. On areas where you can really open it up it is nice to have. But again, I think you should ride with what you have for now. I use to want a six speed on everything. Now that I have ridden some differnt configuations, I only want one on one mabey two of my machines.

yeah they are great machines, nothing really bad about them except that they are a bit more prone to tipping than the 250Rs.

I always thought it was the other way around. I guess it is just what you are use to.

I always felt very comfortable on my tri-z. I have all the big sports trikes, but the tri-z gets all the looks and stares on the trail. Although the tecate hasnt been brought out to the trails yet. My ported tri-z was the fastest trike of the three - would hit real hard in powerband. Its all in how the cylinder is prepped/ported. My stock 250r with high comp head and pipe feels tame in comparison.

My only issues with the tri-z - is/was maintenance and upkeep every ride. They spit out bolts often. I wrench on my R a fraction of what the tri-z needed.

Oh and my experience with 6 speeds are that they are great for long stretches, but in trails i shift a hell of alot more with a six speed then a 5 speed.

You did fine. Price is always subjective to area, availability and demand. You got a rare pipe there and better shock, so you are ahead of the game. Yami shocks are prone to failure.

Believe me, you will be selling your 4 strokes once you get used that tri-z. Just watch the motor mounts and pipe bolts- those were the ones that spit out often - locktight and lock washers will help you out. No counterbalancer on that Z.

    Lets see some pics.
