You know, Ronnies got the right idea Brrcuda, which is silicon. I used gobs and gobs of locktite on my Z, then finally decided to try silicon the last time it went together. With the loctite, Ive thrown every bolt imaginable. The only bolt Ive thrown with everthing siliconed was the airbox bolt, which didnt get siliconed to begin with. Ive put well over 100 miles after the last rebuild, so far so good.

Good find there, I think you'll be happy with the bike. One major bolt to watch is the swingarm bolt. Once it gets just a little loose, you can watch it spin out!

You know, I was waiting for some one to say something like that.

Yeah, the bolt problem is annoying. I try not to use locktight that much, but with the Z's a little drop is a god thing.

I agree that a six spedd is not a good thing on the trails. Not an a Z any way. Leave it a five speed and get it turned in for your riding and it will do you right.

Geez.... I tightened all my Honda bolts 4 years ago and the only one that came loose was that big one on top of the gas tank.... I forget what it's called....I think one on the motor side case came loose too so I put some oil in it. Must've done the right thing cause it's still runnin......
