This is is for those who run after market axles in their 250r's.. I'm looking for one but would like some suggestions on brand and models, which is better![]()

all 250r axles(or most honda axles) stock or aftermarket will with enough beating will break at the groove for the axle nut....its a weak spot
that being said iv seen them all break at that spot so to me it comes down to brand loyalty or finding a good deal on one
im running a old dura blue plus 4 on my 350rx that my bro got some ware and trust it as much as any

I would go with lonestar. I've heard several people say that dura blue's warranty isn't that great.
i dont have a 250R or after market axle (yet) and i agree with ya. ive bin looking into axles for my 200x. well anyway back to the subject at hand. ive bin looking at the warranties and blue has one of if not the worse warranties out there. i feel as if they dont back up their product very well. ive also saw on other forums and write ups that the dura blues like to bend and break pretty easy. but thats just what i read on other sites and stuff. i guess it just comes down to how you ride. personally id go with lonestar but thats just me.
down to parts because i no longer have a place to ride trikes.![]()
GIT IT RAAAGGGGG !!!!
part of the reason you hear of so many dura blue axles breaking is the fact that they have bin makeing them since atc's were new....tons out there

You have a good point. Dura blue has and still continues to make some great axles but their pro rated warranty sucks. They will only replace the first axle free then it's $175.00 + shipping after that.
I just read an article in dirt wheels about the new prm eliminator II axle. Lifetime warranty no matter how many times you break or bend it. Price around $349.99. I'm looking into one of those for my r.
they don't make them for 250r's in that series, just regular axles. They still have a good warrantee, I know a guy who bent his pretty quickly after getting it. I have bent a few on my quads, but the only bent one on my trikes has been after hitting trees.
Yea I've been hearing some not so good things about the dura's and I don't need something that a good amount of people are complaining about.. What about the RPm dominators?
I have heard bad things about durablue axles, alot of people call them dura-break, dura-bend or dura-crap. I have seen a few of them break on 250r's. I like lonestar axles, I had to buy a durablue for a 83/84 that I use on my 86 200x. I didn't use it yet.
get a lonestar or if you can find a old jp racing one on ebay
i have the jp axle in my 86trx250r and it's about 15 years old and's been in a couple mx race quads. not bent at all.
