I am new to the board. I just bought a 1986 350x and I am trying to get everything adjusted properly. It is all original and in very good shape. I went to try to adjust the chain due to it having way too much slack, and I think I found that it is missing the adjustment screw. Am I correct that it is adjusted by loosening the two allen head bolts on the end of the bearing carrier of the swing arm then adjusting using a bolt that should be in the bottom center of the swing arm axle carrier? For my bike that hole is empty but it does not have crap in the hole and the axle moves free without any noises. If I am correct does anyone have any idea where I can find a replacement bolt for that hole? I tried the search method for the forum and was unsuccessful. Thanks for the help!
I am trying to figure out how to get pictures of the problem downloaded and shrunk to the proper size. If I figure it out then I will post them later. Thanks again!!

is correct. Just to the right of the sprocket you will see a large disc with tabs going all the way around it. This is actually part of the bearing carrier. You will need a spanner wrench to safely tighten it. Without one, you risk breaking off the ears on the bearing carrier like the idiot before me did on my 350x. Not cheap to replace. Bike shops sell the spanner wrenches, although they're not real cheap - generally $25 - $35.
