flames+Pipe+350x ???

i got my 350 going pretty good now with a new carb ( never had it running) and there are flames that come out the exhaust header since i don't have a muffler on it at the moment i just wanted to see if the carb was gonna work. are the flames that bad? they don't shoot out but about 2-3" from the pipe. i mean it can't be good for it but it sure does look cool at night im sure! ha ha

i heard thats what the spark arrestor is for and that it should be ok. also it only does it when im revving it up.

that is normal but for your motors sake get a muffler or your valves won't last long

yeah, i got a cobra exhaust but i don't much like it. it seems just like a hollow tube as well? i guess it has that insert though with the lil holes on the inside. i ran it less the 5 minutes. and not all at one time either. the valves should be fine for that shrt of a period. man i can't wait to get it going though this thing feels like it has some power that needs to be let out. WFO!!!!! :shock:
