Bad points are common. The points are located behind the flywheel and can be a pain to get to and change sometimes if you never have done it. Also look for bent main frame or bent fork stops. Either of these conditions will let the front fender hit the cylinder head resulting in a melted front fender. Check your bearings, front and rear real close and make sure your clutch is properly adjusted. The 70s don't have alot of power and stockers need to be in top notch tune. They are quite fun and maybe you might want to think about swapping to a lifan engine if your engine is tired. Or at least an 88cc big bore kit. Have fun.
thanks for the info. it looks like someone has already gone through it pretty good. I have a 350x of my own the 70 is for the kids so i wont be tryin to get more performance out of it lol. I added some pics to show it off..

ya i thought it was pretty cool too....best thing about it is i only paid $400.00 for it exactly the way it is. I always take em for rides on my other trikes so i figured it was time for them to have their own. their gonna hit the roof.
