Angry ---------- Spark, Air, and Fuel but no go?? -------------

yea, i have spark, fuel, and air, but it wont start. I bought a kazuma falcon 110 4-wheeler off of my neighbor and im in the process of putting the engine into my atc70. I am going to have a few minor issues with making it all perfect but i can deal with that later. First off, it RAN when they parked it, i know this for a fact. they broke the rear axle though and so it has been sitting in their garage. then my idiot cousin decided to "clean the carb" on the kids trx125 so he robbed the main jet out of the kazuma carb and left it all apart.

i was "fitting" everything so the carb on it has no float or main jet in it.

they didnt use the key switch becuase the battery was shot and the switch itself was demolished. they just push started it every time they wanted to ride it and it'd start how it was.

so we cut the key switch off and figured out which wires to touch to get spark using the electric start. Finally we got spark.

I then tried spraying starting fluid straight into the spark plug hole and other times into the intake staright through the carb. I even tried straight gas and still got nothing. I also cranked it over a few times to make sure the cylinder wasnt flooded and i kept "burning" off the spark plug with my lighter.

Shouldnt it at least sputter? I am totally lost, i have spark, i have air, and i have fuel but it just wont go. Do you think i might need to put the carb together and try that? I'd think it would at least sputter with straight ether sprayed into the cylinder though. any input is greatly appreciated.

Definitely put carb back together with all jets and floats and install carb on engine.
Without carb to meter fuel air mixture nothing is going to happen as it will suck too much air and no fuel will be added.

not totally true I take a can of engine start fuid with me when I check out non running motors, even without a carb they'll pop and run for a sec on the fluid, but Ive neever tried that on any motor smaller than a 185s so... maybe its a trick with the smaller motors, im stumped.

thats kinda what i was thinking syko, it should at least sputter for a fraction of a second. I'll try a carb later today and see what happens.

    Compression?

Compression is a good guess.... Too many motors on here won't start by the kicker or run right when they do. Lot's of time it's low compression. We fought my buddies XR200 all day yesterday and I finally through a gauge on it. He barely made 110 psi......... end of story.

    Just something to check.
