200 autox project? (updated 01/23/08)

i'm starting the auto x project today, so besides the brake pedal fab and denting the frame to make room for the electric starter is there any other fabs that i should know about?what about the chain and sprockets which do i use? do i need a gasket set to change cams in the top end?

BAD news i never got around to starting this project, GOOD news is i had me a garage built instead nice little 22x26 i get about 3/4 for a shop and the wife gets just enough to park her car in once i get the electrical cover they'll turn the power on and i'll start my project

I could use some input i was asking various ? in other threads but since it all pertains to this project i'll try to keep all related ? to this thread. right now i realy want to put my 200e motor in the x frame it seems the frame will have to be modded a bit to alow for the sub tranny (right now the chain adj is in the way) if i change this area i'll need another way to adj the chain, what input can you guys give in this area, any and all is welcome? i realy want this to work. Thanks

ive herd that they will fit in if you take off the starter. but im not sure because ive never owned one. i wouldnt hack up that chain adjuster. you could always sell that motor and get a 200s engine if you want an auto-x . thats what i did. i put my 200s engine in a 200x. turned out ok.

i would do what 84honda200s said...you'd have to mount the battery on the 200x frame also.

just took my x jug to honda shop im gonna have to bore it and get new piston. sucks be about $120 or so.lol funny part didnt give but a 100 for the trike.siad it was about .007 so i need to take it about .020 to do good said it was so close to 10 might as well go 20

so if i take off factory starter maybe i could move the engine foward to make room for the subtranny (thats what you ment right?)and then maybe put an after market goki on there for the electric start?
