That is just jaw dropping beautiful. Great job. If I was forced to give criticism, the only thing I could come up with is that you labeled a four stroke a 450R. Maybe it should be 450RF? I guess 450X wouldn't do it justice. Never the less, this is exactly what i would expect to see if I was going to walk into a showroom and buy a brand new 2008 trike.

I'm guessing the reason he called it 450R is because the Honda 450 atv has the R at the end and the motor he used is the one off of the atv!

That's correct, the reason for the HRC is due to the engine being fitted with the Honda oem HRC power up kit, and the reason i went with the RR is because the bike is a modified 250R- So thats the first R, and because the engine is from a 2006 TRX 450eR - there's the second R.

Glad you like my build Hoosier, i'll be posting some pics of the recent progress tomorrow. .......well i will be if it's sunny.

    Hrc 450rr

Well, i took the 450 out today for the first proper test run since the build began, and am disappointed,,,,,, ,,,,disappointed i never took it out SOONER!!!!

Well i still have to fit the front brake caliper, but i just had to try the bike out, and am very very pleased with the end result .

I had the front forks modified originally as i thought the forks in there original state would be to firm for the 3 wheeler, but after i instaled the wheel spacers i realised the forks were to short and the donner springs were to soft & short.

So the front shocks have been restored to there original factory spec (265mm travel) , i had to mount the ignition system and a few other little bits n pieces, but thats it running now - and running well.

When i bought this trx 450 i never rode it ,as it arrived in a crate from the states sort of partially dissmantled, so i never rode the engine as a quad, i found out today the bike only has 5 gears,WTF, am ripping up the trails and wondering WTF, i think the bike needs another gear but thats just me.

So as far as the ride report, the bike rides really smooth, the front suspension is fantastic , the factory works Marzocchi shocks just soak up the bumps and ruts, the rear suspension feels really smooth although the rear tires am using are hard and heavy, you can feel the hardness of the ride coming from the tires and not the rear shock. I have the original 450 rear tires and lots of others like turf tamers, holeshots ect, so i'll experiment a little and see what rear tires i like best.

Like any of you know that have a trx 450, the bike pulls hard from low revs up.

I have'nt tried it on grass/mud yet only on hard packed gravel forest trails, so traction could have been better, but the bike handles great, it's by no means a wheelie machine - unless you want it to be, possibly due to the extended swinger. But considering i built this bike practically single handed, i am really happy with the end result.

I'll post some action shots soon.

Thanks, again to the 3WW members who assisted me with this project.

Absolutely amazing build. The whole trike really looks awesome. And I really like the look of the front end with the inverted forks. I had to put that first pic there as my desktop.

    Great job!

Nice sticker on the back fender too.

I missed how you got those triples that will accept inverted forks. Did you make them yourself?

No, the triples were kindly made by Jason hall here on the board, myself, Jason and the machinist - a friend of Jasons collaborated in the fabrication.

I told Jason what i wanted, we talked, came up with the best offset while still sticking to OEM angle, then worked with the machinist to achieve the end goal.

The triples are one of the best pieces on the bike IMHO,,,,

    Glad you like them Hoosier.

    Cheers G.

Love them. I wish I had the money to get some triples like that made for my trike.

wondering about the front forks... where did you get them from, how much where they, did you need to do any mods to them or do they come the way you see them in the pics?
