I love anything with an engine except a lawnmower...
.
1986 Tecate and original owner of a 1985 200X.
3 wheeling since 1975.
No guys, he only had the one. Sorry I just getting back to ya. I just got home from Crawfordsville.
As a matter of fact someone here does. I forget his name, but I know he has a couple mint Franks trikes and a Franks-framed Tecate that Jimmy raced. I will try to find those pics.
did you end up getting these item's if you did post some pics
Yes, he did get the items and then sold the whole Tecate for $3500. Which was the steal of a lifetime. He even found a NOS UFO airbox, and NOS Bassani exhaust for it. Try to find a NOS Hoosier front tire these days.. If I had had the money this thing would be living inside my house. This is the yardstick that all Tecate's are measured in my eyes.

I think I need to change pants now.
This is my trike. There are many like it but this one is mine. My trike is my best friend, and it is my life. I must master it as I must master myself. My trike without me is useless. Without my trike, I am useless. I must ride my trike true. My trike and I know that what counts is not the amount of miles we ride, but the time we ride together. My trike is human in it's own ways, therefore I will learn it as my brother. I will learn it's weaknesses, it's strengths, it's parts, and it's soul.
i was wondering if that was the tank, the image of that trike popped in my head, because i i knew it wouldnt have went on a every day rider. yeah i would have nabbed it up to, the wife would have killed me if i would have bout that even for a steal of a price lol
Craigslist, Ebay, Old obscure phone numbers, friends, and lots of luck...

dcreel's got alot of this rare stuff. I held him at knife-point once, but he overpowered me. Ive been workin' out now though......(lol). Tecate folk have alot stashed away, that's good though, it's a preservation deal. And neat to see the keepers of Tecate parts, as not many, and were so dominate and rare. Lot's of cool new stuff made, which makes me happy (no patience to track down cool old school, and I wouldn't want to break a rare part/item).
83' 200x (son's). 85' 200 auto-x & 85' 125m (daughters). 84' Tecate(?). 85' KXT Tecate (mine!, mine!, mine!.)+ some others but don't feel like typing them in.
I am not much of a green fan, but even I got wood from that tecate....
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!

Many of the "I want one" posters for this tank product are not what I would consider active any more at this point in time, but for those that browse + research + dig into hints + clues, there are a select few with HRE being one of them that still performs one off (or more of and different product line up) custom works of art.
Key to whole thing is knowing what you want (that YOU can not make) and finding the right person who will say let me show you "How its made"
