Gonna be a single man. lol.

This week I had a few dollars burning a hole in my pocket and found two machines I was interested in. 1988 cr250 or 1985 200x. Well the x was cheap. Buddy wanted $500 but I got it for $250. Guy just had the frame sandblasted and painted. Fenders are cracked up, front fender is missing, right tank shroud is missing.

    THEN THE BAD

Previous owner had the front sprocket welded on and the shifter. Then the guy I got the bike from cut them off almost flush. Now I need to find 2 of these shafts. And idea if the xr, xl's are alike. Any other machine they are the same from. 200m, big red, etc. X's are rare around here so unless I find something that is like it I am gonna have to look for one here on this forum and ebay. Whatta think of her?

The XL motor I had had the same countershaft but the shift shaft was longer.

I guess shipping is a pain but EBAY has bottom ends a dime a dozen for 1st gen X.

    Nice score!!

Ya it sits pretty high. But I'm 200 pounds and when I sit on it it drops a few inches. Looks beefy sitting high. I have to look tomarrow for the shafts locally. If not storm impulse I'll drop you a line. Thxs man. Thought the woman was gonna kill me when I brought her out in the garage but she loves it already. I gotta do some searching now. Seems I have two different exhausts, 2 different air boxes and some unknown parts.

I think the swingarms on upside down. my 200x looks the same when its like that. The shock is suppos to go down inside of the swingarm and mount on the bottom.
