I'm going to try and order a new axle for the '82 480R. I have heard that a '83 - '85 200X axle will interchange with the '81 - '82 250R... Has anyone ever done it and can confirm that it will?
And does Durablue or anyone else make 200X axles?

82R is the same as the 200X, thats all I can tell ya!!
All our government does is distract us while they steal from us, misspend our tax $ and ruin our country
yes dura blue still makes a 200x axle but hold on it also requires the 200x axle to use a 81-82 250r sproket to work its the eliminator 2+2
if you need a stock 200x axle i got one, you can use 400ex hubs and wheels and get 46" wide on a stock axle.
I just did this a couple of weekends ago - it is a direct swap. One minor mod - the 200X sprocket bolts need ground down about 1/4" to keep from rubbing on the carrier. So to answer your question - yes - it does work.
RIP - Yamahondaman!! You will never be forgotten!

Thanks guys. I'm going to order one today or tomorrow.
I've tried to order an axle from RM ATV and Dennis Kirk. Neither will order the axle from Dura-blue. If I buy it direct from Dura-Blue it $482.00!
Who knows someone friendly to trikes that would special order one?
