while riding my 86 250sx i noticed when i come to a quick stop or jump the bike, when i land i notice a snapping sound. i heard that could be a loose timing chain. is that a good hypothosis?

Check rear shock bolts,swingarm bolts and motor mount bolts... it worked for me!
