    my fan is in baby

So I went to the local junk yard shop and found some fans that would work, well since my 350x runs 12 volts AC, I thought a fan that was 12 DC wouldent work so I tryed it out and it did in fact work. I have it running on the hot side of my wiring so it runs without a switch. Hopefully it will help a little bit. I also hope it dosent make it worse.

Cause when I ride in the sand over here in the desert, its already 90-100 degrees and I want to try to get my 350x to run cooler. When it runs really hot it runs like crap. It bogs in 6th gear and seems to barely hit 45 miles an hour. I know the fan won't make a big difference but hopefully a tiny small one.

there is a kick butt pc fan called "tornado" and all you should need is a voltage regulator to only allow 1 amp to go to it. they move major air and they spin at about 6000 rpm. those will kool it down a bit.
down to parts because i no longer have a place to ride trikes.

yep oil coolers on the x are stock, honestly I would ad another oil cooler on the X somewhere even if its on the subframe, its still going to radiate some heat out of the oil, but if you get your oil not warm enough your engine may suffer as well, im sure that would only be a problem in the northern states though

just find a fan that will move allot of air real fast and you will be ok. hell there are quads with cooling fans on them. do what you have to man. it doesnt hurt to try something new. but if that fan moves to slow it will cause more harm than good.

Doesn't make sense, I haven't seen many posts about a 350X overheating and lots of guys run them in the dunes.....

well, the fans in modern quads move tons of air.......get a bigger radiator if oil cooler isnt the answer. a bigger one will surely do the trick.

It dosent overheat it just runs really hot. Ok let me tell you if what I'm running is right I have a complete supertrapp exhaust with 8 plates, I also have a k@n and my main jet is a 145. There is no engine work to my knowledge. How would you tell by the sparkplug if its running lean, I forgot what color.

Then I guess I am running a little bit lean cause last weekend I went for a trip for 3 days and when I checked my plug it looked like there was a new one in there. It wasn't brown or white just straight white. Also does it matter what kinda of gas you run cause I run 91.
