    starting a 350x or 200x

I kicked until I was out of breath on syks 350 and came close to starting it once! Is a 200x much easier to start? Im talking both trikes in stock form.

My 86 200x seems to have way less compression than my 85 350x, and almost always starts on the 1st or 2nd kick...

OH, no decompression cable.....yep that would meke a difference...for sure

my 86 200x has a decompression cable and its pretty easy to kick. Gets tiring on the stop and go rides but its not hard to do and you can still kick it sitting down on the seat. Starts on 2nd kick usually too unless the plug is black since its running rich and needs to be cleaned once in a while. With a clean plug it starts 1st kick always.

If it's jetted right and given a good healthy kick, it will start 1st or 2nd kick.

I'm a believer that most carbs are jetted wrong or haven't been cleaned properly. Low compression, even though it "feels" good is another problem.

Personally I prefer no compression release but thats me. I find that if I roll my 200x over a few times and then bring it up to compression is starts the easiest. Any engine seems to start the best when you bring it up on compression though. My dad used to have a 2 cylinder H John Deere tractor that was hand started and you could fight it all day or just roll it up to compression, give it a little nudge and it would take right off. It just takes time to learn the machine your working with.
