It's seems to have been a long project so far and I haven't done nearly as much summer riding as I would have liked. That'll teach me to start a project as soon as I get back from trikefest. Anyway, got the engine in the frame this weekend, stock carb mounted. Started work on modding a 200x exhaust and a supertrapp muffler to fit. I was planning on a 300ex carb and I still have it, but seeing as I bought this thing in pieces and haven't seen it run, I figure I'll get'er running and reliable before I do any crazy stuff. I did put a wiseco 10.25 to 1 compression piston and a xr200 cam in the engine, that's not too much modding to throw me way off on making it reliable. I'm afraid of the wiring and switches at this point, that's my next obsticle to tackle. Fenders are off for exhaust fitting.
