just wondering if the stock heads have any more potential than stock? is there room for some porting and polishing or are they already worked to the max from the factory?

improvement can be made by shaving the head and using a cr250r head gasket, but now you are taling race gas territory. There really isn't too much you can do to a stock head.

I believe its a 89 cr250r gasket, many of the top end and full gaskets sets have an option for a thick trx gasket or thin cr gasket. I know I got a few of them from those gasket sets. With a shaved head and cr gasket, you will be in a compression where race gas is a must. The cost and availabiltiy of gas is the down-side of going hi-compresssion.
