    Tecate Voltage Regulator...simple question...

Now that I'm deep into the stator/electrical system I found a little aftermarket box that I assume is a voltage regulator for the lights. I think it may be hooked up wrong by the p.o.

Basically 2 wires yellow and black. Right now the yellow is hooked up to the positive off the stator and to the main positive for the headlights. The black is hooked up to the chassis ground.

Is that right? I would think that the regulator would be in between the positive off the stator and the main headlight positive in order to regulate...hehe

Any help is apreciated! I'm an electrical novice obviously.

I've seen a few just like that, One being a Banshee, one wire to VR and the box itself is the ground.

So what you're saying is hook it up in line right? stator positive to voltage reg. yellow in, then voltage reg. black out to headlights? Then ground the box using the convenient hole through the middle?

    I added pics.
