you can buy cables from Motion Pro that have a cap biult in for a 38mm carb/

2008 KTM 525xc quad ----- HMF exhaust, HRE chromoly stem,
86 trx 250r --- with after market chromoly frame and everything else done to it
01 400ex --- with 86 trx 250r motor
87 250x + 93 300ex both 350x powered
2 = 86 atc 350x's
86 atc 250r
83 atc 185s --- from retired guy not ridden since 87
Bandito framed 110 with 85 motor and yellow us90 fenders + tank

i just use the stock stuff. maybe your cable is frayed inside the housing where you cant see it. my trx needs a new one because of that.

C'mon Josh...you've ridden with the OTC enough to know that several of us are running the MSR Pro Raptor easy pull clutch assembly and really like it. Screw all that high dollar hydro crap. Just drop the 40~50 bones and get the MSR setup.
As far as your throttle cable...I picked up a brand new MP cable a while back and found that it just takes a very extreme tug to get the cable clear of the cap. It's held in with a little c-clip ring and when they are brand new, they are very stiff and tough to compress enough to get the cap separated.
