tecate carb swap. got a question

I swapped a pwk36 onto my 85 tecate and the only problem I have ran into is the throttle cable seems to be to long? What are you guys using for a cable or am I simply overlooking something? Thanks

I'm using a stock setup off a '01 KX500, cable and twist throttle on a 39PWK. Length is perfect.

What throttle are you using? Why is it too long? Can't you adjust it to be good?

You may have to buy a new cable... the stock mikuni has that solid elbow coming out of the cap that the kiehin doesn't... just about any KX cable should do the trick...

I am running the stock cable and I have it adjusted it to the max. I tore apart the brass elbow on the mikuni carb so I could get the cable out of that and got it put into the pwk. I will look into a kx cable but I am going to mess around with it a little today and see if I cant get it to work correctly. I'll let y'all know what happens.
