Get on the back, keep your 2 fingers and her hand on the clutch together. Show her how it works, relate it to a car (if she drove a stick).

Rev it up a bit and dump it to show her what she doesn't want to do until she is rolling.

Have her practice taking off in 1st and stopping before moving up to other gears.

    Worked good with my ex.

put the ass end up on a jack and let her sit on it and shift through the gears to get a feel for it, without accually going anywhere

All I said to my ole lady was just give it the same amount of clutch and gas (equal hand movement) and she didn't stall the bike the rest of the day. besides, pulling out is the hardest part.

    ...I'm still working on it!

well bad news guys, she popped the clutch and stalled the bike so many times she gave up, she said if she wanted to sit on a three wheeler and lurch forward she would put a coin in the one in front of the old carters. lol

the first time i got on a 400ex, i must have stalled it 30 times before i started rolling. the first time i got on my X...i just took off. idk, some clutches are easier than others. a lot of play is much easier than just a hare point where it all dumps
