can i run staight pipes?

me and my tech teacher are putting in a 200cc suzuki sp engine in my 250 frame now exhaust is not gonna work can i run 2 straight pipes under the frame? will it have enough back pressure and not burm my valves? thanks tim

Why not home make some cans to fit on the end of the straight pipes?

An old trick to use to try and get some back pressure back and would work on the dyno is to drill a hole though the exhaust pipe and weld a larg washer onto the bolt. All you had to do was turn the bolt with the washer on it to supply more or less back pressure and then lock it down into place when you had the best readings on the dyno. You could also buy 2 universal supertrapp mufflers if you wanted.

I would build a simple header and use a muffler.... Straight pipes are kinda gay.... They sound trashy and always piss people off... where do you plan to ride?

hey guys thanks for the answers and i didnt ask my tech teacher thougth i would ask you guys first. but yes i want my bike to be loud and piss people off lol. i have trails u can legally ride on well no cops come and there are no houses only an abandon asylum called pilgrim state. but yeah i have the end silencer from my 2 stroke pipe if i buy another will it work, at least make it alittle quite? thanks tim.

"Pissing people off" is never a really good idea, that's what causes trails to be closed down.

If the machine is only a 250 I wouldn't bother with getting another silencer. What I would do is make a 2 into 1 collector and use a single silencer.

Yes the 2-stroke silencer will quiet it down.

ok well there are no trails near my house, i gotta trail my bike there and my neighbors no me and hate ne one riding bikes or anything. so im gonna make them mad and yes im gonna do *Edited**Edited* idea 2 into 1. should i make the pipe at the headers small into wide for louder if i want the silencer off?

Make it into a megaphone type exhaust. If you can find a old cobra or dg muffler to put on and take the packing out it would be loud. But with my experience using 2 stroke muffler on 4 strokes, the packing tends to blow out from all the force in the small diameter of the core. And it makes a high pitched 4 stroke/squealing sound. Stick with the 4 stroke muffler, unless of course the 2 stoke has steel baffles.

well see idk how im gonna get a 4 stroke muffler none fit around my frame i was gonna bend and shape like pipe idk what kind, maybe some kind of plumbing pipes, dont no yet, ne suggestions?
