    sproket question

    ok i have a dumb question but i will still ask. the front sproket on my costom trike has broken. and i would like to know if i were to convert it to pullys would it work or would they just slip.

    Wtf....

    I would say they would slip unless you run a geared type belt simalar to a harley drive..

    that is what i figured but i just needed a second opinion rather then do all the work and have it not work.

    if you could get it to work that might be an OK idea. It would be alot cheaper than chains and sprockets to replace. But I dont know how it would do when all the dirt and mud gets packed between the belt and pulleys.

    well there is always dirt and mud to worry about but there is also the torque to consider. i can see it working on flat and down hill but once the engine has to actually start to work it would likely slip.
