    NH Ice Riders (flat track)

Hey, any of you guys want to get together this year for the month of Feb. I live on a pond in the south east and plow a flat track out on the ice. Last year was my first year doing this and we had some good times Rec/Racing on a little d shaped oval (like Richmond for you nascar fans) built for handling not speed to keep the broken bones and parts to a minimum.

Last year I was the only one on a 3 wheeled 250r. This year will be a 250r also just don't know if it will be 3 or 4 wheeled. In the works of getting both running. There was a LT 250, 400ex, 250r (4 wheels) and a Banshee. A 200x and 350x act stopped by once and a while but they were not studded.

They do not run any atvs with the cars. But they have two tracks set up for the cars and they change what track they use every weekend leaving a empty track that most of the rec atv guys take advantage of. I have never seen anybody get kicked off of the track as long as they are not being idiots. The track there is a 1/4 mile oval and is to fast and cold for my taste. You will see lots of guys there from 2 wheels to 6 wheels.

My track is on the NH side of the pond near the town beach. I would really like to get a good group of guys that enjoy ice racing and maybe in the future have a 4 week series with a sponcer and point fund. Really, This is New Hampshire in February what else is there to do.

Let me know if you 3 wheeled guys are going to show so I can decide what 250R to put my effort into.

Its on the left cove leaving the town beach. Do you ride the sled trails to the pond? If so, has anybody givin you a hard time. Next trip you take there give me a shout, I'll have some burgers and dogs on the grill waiting.

I just went out and took a look. We have 4 inches of ice 12 ft out from shore. Most of the lake looks ice covered except the channel from NH to ME and one or two shallow points. THIS BODY OF WATER IS NOT SAFE AT THIS TIME do to the ice not starting to build untill the snow came on Dec 3. Most of the ice is just snow that turned to slush and froze making very soft and not very safe ice. I will keep my eye open this weekend for the brave ones that don't care about there lives.

As far as the ATC, its all there just waiting on me to put it together. Going to take the best of what I have and use it on 3 wheels again this year.

Sure hope to see you NE250r, This is something I hope will build year after year. I really take pride and time in keeping the track in great shape. Its always plowed and if I have to I'll cut a hole in the ice and suck water up with a sump pump and generator the night before so we can have a clean like glass racing surface on the weekends.

The pond is in Milton, NH just off rt 125 know as Milton three ponds. North of Rochester, NH and south of Union, NH. Half the pond is in NH the other half in ME. Lots of activity on this little pond from sled drags (first weekend in Feb) to car races, fishing and skating. Sled trails lead to about anywhere you want to go (not sure if atv are allowed on trails).
