Hey Luke......... I know what you mean about a manual clutch, I kind of prefer them myself. Goes back to my motocross days I guess. As far as using an XR engine...... the kickstarter might prove to be a problem as it swings rearward instead of forwards, like a 200x for example. Other than that I believe it might be a bolt in. How about using a 200x motor? steve
How much would be involved in putting the side cover and necessary clutch as sundries to make the 200E have a clutch. Then you'd still have the low range, electric start, and pull start backup.
Alot, the cranks are different, you would need to split both cases and take both cranks apart so you could use the left side of the E crank and the right side of the XR, other then that it might work. I haven't done it but I read that someone else did on their honda and I was checking into doing it with my Yamaha. A lot of work for a clutch.
