It's kinda pricey. Just wondering if it's worth it.

Oh cool. Well that's good to know. Someone needs to compile a list on here of places 3 wheelers are allowed.

I've been. The tracks are cool, trails are single file 1 way mostly. A day of running the 2 tracks on a 3 wheeler will let you know what kind of shape you are in! I got lots of cool comments for tearing up the track on my 350X. Guys on brand new 450s were impressed. Post up if you want to make a day of it and I'm sure I can round up a few guys.

Oh definitely man. Sounds great. I have a few repairs to make on the R and Tecate before I'm going out again, but I'll definitely make sure to post.

How are the trails there? I found the trails at Lost Trails (prior to getting booted) to be incredible rocky and much better for 4x4 quads than an R.

Also, does it get boring only having a few trails and a track, or is it enought to be entertaining for a day?

The trails are pretty sandy through the pines and break up the day pretty good. By the end of the day you are pretty familiar with them and you can really fly. I hit the tracks pretty hard and had a blast but was ready to leave by the end of the day. My legs were so sore I culd barely start the 350X. I guess I'm not as young as I think I am plus I usually ride mostly trails. I know of 4-5 other guys + myself that would probaby be interested.

I always rode there, I liked that place for general riding. I know about the trikes there, I got alot of repect there. My 86 200x was always cleaning house there, I rode my 86 atc 250r there too. I wouldn't go there now, it is really bad and also its closing in sept 08. The track has straight-up walls with almost no lanidng, bad grooming. When I go, I usually ride the intermediete track, its alot more fun than the atv track. Just for you guys to know, membership for the year is now $250 and its going down $25 every month and it will stop near feburary.
For REAL track riding, I go to other places. In my opinion, njorvp is pathetic in alot of ways. I worked with the park to TRY to get the track better, they did some of it, but the board decided that it was too advanced and made it lamer than it was. They had some truck races and flattened out the jumps all across and never put it back the way it was. I've been riding there for almost 5 years, it was decent before, it got somewhat better, then started getting worse since the track groomer quit. They went through 3 groomers and now I think some guy comes 2-3 times a week to grooom it.

Man, that sucks for a bunch of reasons. So, another ATV park closing. Crap. Well, any other recommendations then? I like the idea of having tracks and trails.

I'll definitely check it out once, though.....

I drove almost 2 hours yesterday to ride at the njorvp and they wouldn't sell us a day pass because the trails were sloppy. So I still don't know how that place is for riding and now that they're closing, I don't know of any place legal that we can take the wheelers on the weekend. So depressing

how they treat people there is terrible, I've heard many complaints. I've never been treated bad, but seen people being harrased. I seen them with radar guns checking the mph of people on the roads, BUT YET, there was NOBODY watching the tracks. They groom the track terrible, treat people wrong, sometimes close early for no reason and guess what??? Their memberships have been slowly going down and half the time its like a ghost town there. Its a shame to see a place to ride going, but that place might not be too much of a loss. I might renew my membership next month(if they still have them) and if I go there 4-5 times, its paid for. It won't be a primary place for me to ride by any means. I am slowly switching to dirtbikes and all of them are plated bikes, so I can ride in alot of places. I will still ride my atv's, but not as much as before.

Trust me...you don't want to go there after heavy rains/snows, mud holes are very deep and long. Many people get stuck in them and that sand/clay/mud combo is like cleaning concrete off your bike. Its not fun. As I posted before, I seen it go down hill and it keeps going down. I'm going to tracks in PA w/ trikes and it seams right now that the only track in nj, I could ride my trikes, isn't running quads this year. I will be going to Atco also, I know the guy who runs it, trikes are a definite NO. Insurance for Atco speedway, whom he rents the space from, doesn't allow any 3 wheeled vehicles at all. He doesn't want to risk losing the space to let a few trikes ride there.

Look into hitting up PA. There are several state parks that it is legal to ride in that are near the NJ border:

    http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/forestry/atv/atvindex.aspx

There are quite a few other places in PA that are private but mostly not so close:

My advice is to look online for some of the local clubs, join their message boards, and you'll find some places to ride with them. I joined the one near here and they have hookups with a couple of nice places to ride private land that they have permission to use.

Thanks a million for posting those links, I will certainly check them out.

    njorvp continued -
I read online that they were 'moving' to another location, but I have the impression that they're shutting down for good. Does anyone know which way it's going?

If they do move to another location I hope it has more trails. My friends and I always loved going down to Millville/Port Elizabeth for the weekend and tearing up the sand roads/trails on our 250R's. Unfortunately the cops shut that place down and I know that NJORVP doesn't have a lot in the way of trails.

I am very familiar with the Port!! I live about 30 minutes from there. I rode there many of times in the early 90's before they really began cracking down on atv's. I can't blame them at all though. There's a log of people that don't ride smart and safe there. They drink, ride don't wear helmets.
