    Big problem

I know its been a while since ive posted if anyone remeberes me.

Well I was riding a new trail about 10 miles from the house. I was on a nice loooong trail out in the woods and was in about 4th or 5th I dont remember and I had a blow out. My freaking 6ply carlise had a massive tire failure and blew out whole section of tread on the inside tire wall. It was not under inflated or over inflated. It was .5 from max PSI. It was not a rocky trail or anything just a long grassy wooded trail. So I had to limp it back home without ruining my rim and my arms are dead from fighting the pull. How does a 6ply just blow a hole out like that. My cams dead or id get some pics.

Bro, youve only been here two months. Get over yourself.

Now, to your question. Maybe the tire hit a sharp point increasing the pressure inside when the tire compressed. IDK.

    gah

I never said I was a old member or that i was popular buh. I came in making quite a few post then just left. I was just seeing if anyone remembered me from that short time most people wouldnt I was just seeing who pays attention.

As far as the tires max PSI was 5 I was riding at 4-4.5 PSI and it was on a flat fresh made dirt trail. Nothing would be sharp out there it was in woods that have nothing around them and its deep off in the woods. Loggers are using it for clearing cause it can be seen from the road and when cleared leaves no noticable bald spot on the land from the road. NO glass or anything.

It was a new tire. I just dont see how a 6 ply tire blows along with all the nylon belts inside with it. Im possibly getting another tommarow from a guy who has alot of ATV tires for sale. Im going to inspect them inside and out and get one. I think he wants like 15 each and itll be that much to mount and im good to go. Beats 70 or so for a new one.

They are kinda cheap tires compared to what everyone on here seems to like. They are carlise trail pros. Everyone here say they suck but ive made my way through plenty of rivers and rock trails and clay banks with them and places that I didnt think a 3 wheeler could get so im going to keep using them. But I am going to buy a spare set of tires when I finish work on my car.

figures there trail pro's....thqat wheeler will go more places without 700 extra pounds of tire in it.....

but yeah....its odd a 6 foot thick tire would blow out........... get some regular tires and fill them with cement. they will be lighter and last longer

OMG DID YOU JUST SAY TRAIL PROS?

We have a running joke here in the site that Trail Pros have all sorts of arcane powers, ranging from making your trike feel like it's running on nitrous all the time, to turning you into a redneck overnight, but I haven't actually heard of a Trail Pro being a terrible tire until now.

Sorry this won't be much help, but I suggest you simply ditch the Trail Pros (for life), and then replace them with some NON CRAPPY tires.

Now that you mention they were trail pros I am not surprised at all. At first it was sounding like you had a blow out. Now I know you had a "break out". Those tires are hard, and you breaking one proves how hard they are.

What kind of machine do you have ?

I'd take that tire back to store or if you ordered it send them a pic, it sounds like it was defective, like the firestones on SUV's years ago.

For the kind of riding you do these would be great. You should be able to find them for around 45-50 a piece.

    ok

    No im in Andalusia alabama.

As far as defective it may be but its long past warrenty. Few years old. I do like the trail pros though. To me they are agressive enough to get through what you want if you know how to ride.

Im using a 225DX. So its not like im going to fast or anything.

Those other tires look like crap but sound good. The side tread does me good on those if I get them. they remind me of lawn mower tires with treads cut out.

Those All-Traks are a really good small-bore machine tire, they have the hook up. The tread is actually very deep (probably about 3/4 of an inch?) and it works really well. I rode a Recon 250 quad with those tires on the back, and it would throw a pretty decent roost and power out of corners pretty well.
