    Tecate stator compatibility Q

Ok, i've heard that a oem Tecate stator, say 84-85 will not work with an aftermarket flywheel. So i emailed a place on ebay called RMstators. Asking them if oem's are compatible with the flywheel they sell? They replied that it is compatible and it would work just as the oem flywheel does, but without the magnets loosing grip and ruining the whole assembly. I've used Rickys fly and stator setup together, and this RM fly looks to be identical to the Ricky fly. Would hate to buy a new flywheel and not have it work with a oem stator that still works. Does anyone have any experience mixing oem with aftermarket. Thanks

Good question? I have an 84 with intact flywheel and stator but is has been a garage queen most of its life. Do you buy a new flywheel to work with the OEM stator or can you have the OEM flywheel magnets removed and re-glued?

I bought the Ricky stator flywheel and stator. That is the way to go, then you don't have to mix and max.
