    200E rear end questions

My buddy has a 83 200e and the rearend is gone. He can get a 84 200er rearend for A good price. The used parts place here wants $300 for it. He figures he can get the whole 84 200er for around $100. Will the ER rear end work in the E? I know that one has Reverse and his dont.

No. The 84 200es is shaft drive and the 200e is chain.

Brockey, are you talking about a 83 Yamaha ytm-200E shaft Yamahauler.
I am sure you can get the ER rear end to fit on the E but it depend on which parts of the E is broke. If problem is in the final drive pinion you should be able the use it. But the upper parts of the drive shaft are different.
