Catch me if you can
I have a head with bad threads but a good rocker set up. These assemblies are dowel pinned as half of the cam journal is in the rocker cover and half is in the head casting. Can these be mixed and matched or did Honda machine these together and they need to be replaced with a match set.
I know all about helicoils and theraded inserts so thanks in advance for those recommendations.

i can't imagin that they are machined for each other. heck, we are talking mass production. i have all sx upper on my es ( 2 years now)
most all of us know it's best to use the original set up including the cam so wear patterns are not disturbed. but if ya gotta creat new wear pattern to get it running,,, okay
