All my frames have gone threw the Post office.I just wrap the sharp or important areas with cardboard. Then wrap the crap out of them with plastic and tape.Havent had a problem yet.Even make grab areas for the people working there. No frame has been damaged or chipped as some were freshly powder coated.

You really can't go wrong investing in a roll of shrink wrap. That's how I ship tires and wheels too. It easiest if you take it to the distribution centers though. Don't go to the UPS store cause they'll hassle you.
And that's the rest of the story. ~ Paul Harvey

My powder coated X frame came this way i think it was 60.00 from the west coast to florida about 1.5 years ago. It made the trip perfect and didn't get any scratches or chips. And the UPS depot is 50% less than the UPS STORE. I'm 99% sure the stores are privately owned and i know they make money when you drop things off there...
