    axle extenders on 350x

I recently purchased an '86 350x with extenders on the axle. It's been a long time since I've riden much, and I'm wondering what the pro's/cons are with these on the bike.

I've never used extenders. but I am going to install a durablue axle on my 350 project. its a plus 4. I think Its will make it more stable. and with the extended swingarm its going to make it less of a bear to tear around on. It should help in the sand. But as for trail riding it may nail a few trees and be tough to ride in tight places. But I have another 350x thats stock that I'm going to use on the trails. Welcome to the board! Post a pic of your x.

Dusty Roads I recommend removing the axle extenders. I had some on my 200x when I first purchased it. They will make the machine more stable but it puts a lot more pressure near the hubs. That is the main reason my axle is bent, but thanks to Howdy it is now mostly straightend. Hopefully I helped.

Thanx for the replies BLAZERONE22 and 3WheelsForever. It does make it tough on the trails, its always wider than i think it is. As far going fast, they seem to help when you've got to turn or move out of the way quickly from friends roost without having to really put your body in it. I was worried about bending the axle, im still surprised at the power the 350 has got so I'll most likely remove 'em, the trike needs tlc. I'd post a pic, but i dont have a host.

and if you not a big jumper, or riding in real tight trails, dont worry about it.. keep them on it will take a big event to bend yr axle!
Ride it like you stole it! And never look back! They are too far behind to see!
